We are Laura Nardi and Danilo Traverso, two creatives from different backgrounds, united by the same sensitivity towards materials, imagery and craftsmanship.
We first met through the worlds of theatre and cinema. That shared experience marked the beginning of a collaboration that, over time, became both a professional and personal project: Opificio Neirami.
Laura brings her background in costume design, fashion and visual culture to the project. After studying at DAMS and Next Fashion School Secoli, she worked for many years as a costume designer for film and advertising. This journey led to the creation of Neirami, the clothing brand she designs and the expression of her personal exploration of the relationship between fabric, form and the body.
Danilo developed his experience across cinema, set design, theatre, sculpture and product design. His work stems from a direct engagement with space, light and materials: iron, wood, colour, images and sound become tools through which he experiments and creates constantly evolving visual languages.
We are artisans at heart. We enjoy observing, exploring and transforming materials, allowing their nature to guide us. Every creation grows from a hands-on approach, experimentation and the time required to turn an idea into something tangible.
Our Opificio is a creative hub: both a physical and conceptual space where we design, produce, photograph, showcase and connect. It is here that Neirami and the other projects by Opificio Neirami take shape—different expressions of a shared vision rooted in research, creative freedom and the value of craftsmanship.
